At last our village tree has been installed!
It feels like a long time since the village came together for the jubilee pottery events that we held in the Spring. Since then work has been non-stop behind the scenes. In addition to the 200 or so coasters we made, there are now 400 leaves mounted on our tree (marking the ‘Tree-Bilee’ and the green canopy initiative). As you can perhaps imagine, there was an inordinate amount of glazing, refining, gluing and eventually grouting to get to this point. I hope you agree it has been worth it! We are very proud of what we have achieved and I’m very humbled by the way this lovely village has welcomed my little business into the fold. Huge thanks to Ovington Community Group for supporting the project and securing lottery funding for me, and of course a massive thanks to all who took part.
